At Unjani Clinic, our biggest strength is our network of professional Clinic Nurses and Clinic Assistants. In clinics across the country, our team provides the best in high-quality healthcare, treating each and every patient with the empathy they deserve.
With over 130 clinics spanning South Africa, we felt that it was important to bring all our Clinic Assistants together, giving them the chance to benefit from networking and professional development, while reaffirming the Unjani values that lie at the heart of everything we do.
This was the inspiration for our recent Annual Clinic Assistant Conference 2022, held on the 13th and 14th of October. With the theme ‘We care more’, over 200 of our Clinic Assistants came together at the Manhattan Hotel for an inspiring 2-day event that celebrated the work they do every day, imparted a deeper understanding of the difference they make, and outlined our strategic vision for the future.
During the conference, our Clinic Assistants were able to meet and connect with each other through ice-breaking and team-building activities, while receiving beneficial training and professional development to allow them to continue to offer the best in empathetic healthcare. We also shared insights on our plans for the future, including expanding our clinic network and introducing progressive healthcare solutions aimed at improving access to high-quality healthcare for all South Africans.
One of our latest innovations – and our biggest one to date – is the upcoming launch of the Unjani Clinic – WeCare Patient App. This conference gave us the ideal opportunity to introduce the app to our Clinic Assistants, outlining its many benefits and teaching them to help their patients make use of this valuable healthcare platform.
Last but definitely not least, we hosted the Brand Custodian Awards Ceremony, celebrating Clinic Assistants who stood out in their commitment to upholding the Unjani values of empathy, compassion and dedication to each and every patient.
Congratulations to the 3 winners of the Brand Custodian Awards, Lindiwe Masilela from Unjani Clinic Siyabuswa, Nokwanda Malaza from Unjani Clinic Cosmo City, and Predence Baloyi from Uniani Clinic Gamaphopha; as well as our runners-up, Mapaseka Milicent Mothu, Thandiwe Mhkwanzani and Talent Mthiyane.
From all of us at Unjani Clinic, we’d like to thank our Clinic Assistants for making the conference such a fantastic event. We hope each of you feels even more proud of the contribution you make in providing high-quality, accessible healthcare services to thousands of South Africans every single day.
