Unjani Clinic

Celebrating Mandela Day the Unjani Clinic way

Central to the Unjani Clinic ethos is our commitment to treating each and every patient with the empathy, kindness and respect they deserve. From improving access to quality, affordable care, to constantly innovating our service offering to deliver even better healthcare to our patients, our network as a whole is always seeking to uplift and support all South Africans.

Mandela Day, with its call to action to make a positive impact in the lives of the less fortunate, aligns with our own values, and the values of our nurses. So it’s no surprise that, this Mandela Day, several of our clinics embarked on their own initiatives to assist those around them.

While there are too many to list here, various clinics headed out into their communities to distribute food parcels, school supplies, winter clothing and more, and to offer free healthcare services to disadvantaged groups or individuals.

Some standout initiatives included clinics that conducted free house calls for patients who were unable to travel, a clinic that handed out sanitary pads and menstruation education at an underprivileged school, and a clinic that bought food and hired a jumping castle to give kids at a children’s home a fun Mandela Day.

We are so proud of the contributions our clinics made this Mandela Day. A big thank you to the nurses and their teams for giving of their time to make a difference in the lives of those around them.
